SEEDS, SEEDS, SEEDS -
Right now you gotta be thinking about where and how will I obtain my Giant Pumpkin seeds for next season.

Please learn more about how to find the most sought after seeds in the country (plus all the others) during the annual seed auctions that are hosted by several of the national growers groups around the country.

Check out bigpumpkins.com for a listing and times for the next seed auction. These are great fun as you join in on an auction chat room and watch the bids fly! Yup, there will be seeds that go for over $100!! And there will be other, lower bid seeds as well.
All money bid for seeds will go for the benefit of that growers group to maintain their club.

Save some money for the Bitterroot Giant Pumpkins Seed Auction as well. I am collecting some very fine seeds from prominent growers and will host an auction of our own for the benefit of our group and our weigh off.

Keep checking the bigpumpkins.com website for dates and times and of course for all your growing questions. The message boards are an invaluable source and the search option leads you to all discussions regarding AG pumpkins.

Remember your favorite grower by giving the gift of AG growing books: How to Grow World Class Giant Pumpkins, volumes I, II, and III. Each volume has it's own worthy contributions to the secrets of growing GIANTS!! See this website for these great books, http://www.giantpumpkin.com/

Happy Holidays to All

Hello Growers!

I am very happy to announce that Howard Dill's 2004 Premium Seeds are now available at the link above.

I believe that the right seed is a crucial part of successful giant pumpkin growing. Since a giant pumpkin may yield only 200-300 seeds, they are in limited supply.

So, take a look. There's quite a selection in inventory.

Good luck!

Fall is waning quickly and in the world of pumpkin growers it is a frenzied time of year.

What's all the frenzy about? You ask.
It is seed drying, seed collecting, and seed selection time of year!
If you are interested in acquiring new seed stock with proven genetics to grow next years monster - you gotta visit bigpumpkins.com website and link to the "seed exchange" message board. There are many generous growers offering up their seeds to anyone whom asks - it's that simple! Don't be left out.
On a similar note, I hope to be receiving some of the best seeds from this season and seasons past from all the world class growers. I intend to host an internet seed auction this winter to raise funds for our ever expanding Bitterroot Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off event. I'll keep you posted on the auction date.

Want to hear a secret? I've just settled on a date for next years event.... The 3rd Annual Bitterroot Giant Pumpkin Weigh Off will be held on September 25th, 2004. You heard it here first, and as luck would have it - it is not a "Grizzly Weekend"!

In 2003 our event quadrupled in size and I would only expect the same for 2004.

Sooooooooo, get some new seeds, prepare your pumpkin patch soil for spring time, and research how to grow the new Montana State record Giant Pumpkin in 2004.

Remember I have a few more copies of the Don Langevin's How to Grow World Class Giant Pumpkins, III that make great Christmas gifts. Just email me privately, mtgiants@bigsky.net
